He’s used to playing the field after 10 years as a professional athlete. Now, rugby union player Nick Cummins is back doing what he does best, only this time he’s taking on a whole different ball game as Australia’s newest Bachelor.
“I feel this is just another chapter in my life,” the 30-year-old tells WHO as his journey to finding love begins.
“I see it as an opportunity to find a girl that you’ll end up being with forever.”
Viewers watched with bated breath as the curly-haired larrikin met his 25 potential love interests at a new mansion on night one – and Cummins was impressed by what he was presented with, commenting that all the girls were “good sorts charging out with a purpose.”
However, there was one lady in particular who captured his attention—23-year-old model Cass.
It turns out the pair were already acquaintances before the show even started, with Cass admitting she knew Cummins and the last time she saw him was “at the gym.”
Chatting to WHO, the blonde beauty reveals she could already be a front runner to win Cummins’ heart. “I’m different from most girls,” she says, adding she feels she and Cummins will bond over their love of sports.
As the competition kicks off, WHO can reveal the fighting and backstabbing is only set to intensify as the women compete for the “honey badger’s” heart, and it all begins during a photo shoot after one girl scores herself a helicopter ride—with the potential to also land the season’s “first kiss”.
The Bachelor Australia airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7.30 PM on Network Ten.
