They may have split over a year ago, but having spent five happy years as the girlfriend of Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins, Norwegian artist Martine Thomassen knows exactly what it takes to woo the latest Aussie Bachelor.
You gotta learn “Cummins”, she says. The footy playing larrikin is known for his one-liners like “as sharp as a bag of hammers,” and according to Thomassen learning to speak his lingo is key.
So what kind of woman can capture the heart of the ex-Wallabies star? Apparently preferring “pretty blondes” Cummins was briefly rumoured to have hooked up with Olympic freestyle aerial skiing champ and fellow Tradies underwear model Danielle Scott.
Scott took Cummins as her ‘date’ to the Women’s Health 2017 WINS awards but, although Scott is adept at translating Cummins’ slang it seems they’re just mates.

In March this year Sydney businesswoman Katherine Solly, 27, remained positive after a lovely night with the Wallabies star was cut short after the Badger told her he had filming commitments. “’We had a really nice night, bad timing but wish him all the best – he’s a really good dude!” she told Daily Mail Australia.
More insider gossip claimed Cummins had already been romantically involved with one of The Bachelor contestants, Cassandra Wood. Reports in the Daily Mail said “Wood ‘has known him closely for at least a year.” But so far Cummins has remained tight-lipped.
So, after managing to keep his love life private, what is the Badger really looking for?
“You can talk about hair colour and things like that, but it doesn’t really last” he quipped to The Project’s Peter Hellier adding “You gotta go off vibes.”
So, for any aspiring Honey-lovers, know this: you can learn the lingo and share the vibes but you won’t get the ‘Badgelor’ to shave off his mo’.
“The girl that really loved me wouldn’t ask me to do a thing like that.”
