Poppy Jennings downing a wine glass full of Jim Beam bourbon is surely going to go down as one the most ‘OMG’ moments in this season’s Married At First Sight.

However, despite the mum of twins’ love of a drink, Poppy has revealed she promised herself she wouldn’t drink during filming.
Speaking on Nine’s Talking Married, Poppy confessed that although she managed without a drink on her hens night, nerves got the better of her on the day of the ceremony.
“I thought, ‘I’m gonna start this show off on the right foot. I’m not gonna drink, I’m just gonna be really normal,’” the 38-year-old confessed.
The quick-witted reality star also admitted that that the only groceries she stocked up on before the wedding were “a six-pack of bourbon and a salad”.
And let’s not forget the fact she “necked” a bottle of champagne on her wedding night with husband Luke Eglin.
Naturally, MAFS fans were quick to take to Twitter to discuss Poppy’s now iconic Jim Beam moment.
“New MAFS drinking game…Every time Poppy mentions “my boys” or “my twins” skull (sic) a Jim Beam in a wine glass,” tweeted one fan.
“Poppy is drinking bourbon from a wine glass. I so relate LOL.”
The self-deprecating single mum initially appeared to capture viewers hearts at the beginning of the show with her witty one-liners and heartbreaking retelling of her marriage breakdown.
However, by the end of the episode, fans had labelled the 38-year-old “cold” and “insensitive” for abandoning FIFO worker Luke Eglin, 39 at their wedding reception after freaking out at the prospect of being separated from her two-year-old twin boys during the Nine experiment.
One person wrote: “Poppy is seriously insensitive and selfish towards Luke’”while another shared a meme of Disney villain Ursula and added: “Poppy seems cold”.
Another shared a meme from the movie Bird Box, showing actress Sandra Bullock blindfolded, writing: “Poppy out there doing her best Bird Box to avoid eye contact with Luke”.
