On Sunday, Aleisha Tracy, 34, was on her way back Australia while aboard a Qantas flight from Los Angeles, California, when she began having a medical emergency.
While two medics on the plane did their best to revive her while in the middle of the 16-hour flight, and other paramedics attempted once again after the plane touched down in Melbourne, it was already too late.

“Our cabin crew were assisted by two doctors on board. We are very grateful for their assistance,” a Qantas spokesperson commented.
Victoria Police are awaiting post-mortem examination results to determine Tracy’s cause of death.
“Police are awaiting the results of a post mortem following the death of a 34-year-old Sunshine West woman on an international flight that landed in Melbourne this morning,” they said in a statement.
“The exact cause of the woman’s death is yet to be determined at this stage.”
A post mortem that was believed to have been carried out earlier in the week, will determine the exact cause of her death.
“Nothing has been said about what has happened this far along,” a close friend of Ms Tracy told news.com.au on Wednesday.
Tracy’s friend, David Loiterton, posted an emotional tribute to her on Facebook.
“I will miss you brightening up my day. I will miss your hilarious stories,” he wrote, according to Yahoo News.
“You were a one of a kind friend who was always there. I am truly blessed to have known you. Thank you for such a beautiful friend. I will miss you.”
Tracy’s social media pages reveal that she loved to travel, and pictures posted to her Instagram document her trips to Indonesia and Las Vegas, Nevada, where she visited once again on her most recent trip to the states.
“My favourite place to visit in this crazy city!” Tracy wrote in a post on March 26 from the Bellagio hotel.
Another picture from a few days before featured Tracy’s boarding pass as she waited for her plane to the United States.
“No bubbles here, this badass needs a rest,” she wrote, along with the hashtags “Qantas” and “vivalasvegas.”
National Broadband Network, an internet provider in Australia where Tracy worked, issued a statement to News.com.au about her death.
“We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Aleisha who was a valuable and well-liked member of the NBN team,” they said.
“She will be greatly missed. The thoughts of everyone at NBN are with her family, friends and work colleagues at this difficult time.”
