Fans were beside themselves at the cute throwback photo and filled the comments section with plenty of crying laughter emojis.
"Looked like mum was saving money on haircuts," quipped Nathan.
"Those were the days. I remember the tricycle you sat in the back of. Nath has you to thank for his quads," joked Nick's sister Bernadette Cummins.
Even SAS Australia's Ollie Ollerton remarked: "Mate! You’ve hardly changed!!! More hair though."
Nick is one of eight children and has worked tirelessly to support them - especially his two youngest siblings Lizzie and Joe who have cystic fibrosis as well as his dad Mark, who was diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer in 2013.
"Family's number one, just that's flat out it and I think a lot of people when they're put in a certain position will come to that conclusion and you'll just do whatever," he said on Sunday Night.
Though his relationship with his mum Debbie is strained, Nick is particularly close with his dad who raised eight children on his own.
"I can tell you it takes it takes a big set of cags to stand in front, like regardless of your environment who's watching around, and just flat out look at them and go, bang 'I love you mate you've been here for me in all these times you know.' Give them a big hug, he's your old man, why is it so hard?"
Whilst he famously didn't find love on The Bachelor, Nick is officially off the market and has been publicly dating girlfriend Alexandra George since January.
Over the 2021 Easter long weekend, the former Bachelor shared a photo of himself and Alexandra cosying up at Tasmania winery Clover Hill Wines.
"Beautiful location for a wine tasting @cloverhillwinestas while on a secret getaway with my darling of 4 months, @uniquecharters_au you nailed it!" he captioned the snap.
The couple were first reported to be an item in June last year when the Daily Telegraph reported that the couple spent lockdown with each other in Seal Rocks, on the mid-north coast of New South Wales.
Friends of the couple have reportedly said Nick and his leading lady met during a trip to the Kimberley region in Western Australia in 2020. Nick is even featured in an Instagram post of Alex's that marks one year since the group of friends went on the expedition.
