Friends of the couple have reportedly said Nick and his new girlfriend met during a trip to the Kimberley region in Western Australia last year. Nick is even featured in an Instagram post of Alex's that marks one year since the group of friends went on the expedition.
"Best place on planet earth 🙌🏻 #oneyear @kimberleyspirit," she captioned the photos, the first of which Nick is visible.
Nick was previously linked to chicken heiress Lucy Steggles, whom he met shortly after hiking the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea with a group of friends for charity following his controversial season of The Bachelor.
Nick made headlines when he chose no one at the end of his season of The Bachelor in 2018.
Both Brittany Hockley and Sophie Tieman were left single in a Bachelor Australia first - a decision that Nick admitted he made with his heart.
"I just know in my heart, I've done the right thing. They are two amazing women who are walking out of my life right now. It wouldn't be fair to enter into something and a few months later, break her heart," he said on the show.
The rugby union star received a lot of backlash, but admitted to ABC Radio National that he didn't want to fake a relationship for three months as a contractual obligation.
"And what’s more important, me just saying 'yes' and going through the motions and dragging some girl through all this media about how we’re in love and then three months down the track after the contract’s over, um, we’re allowed to break up. I’m not going to drag them through that rubbish … and break her heart. Bugger that."
Whilst Sophie Tieman is in a relationship with a mystery man, Brittany Hockley is trying her luck on the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise.
In fact, Brittany appears to get close with Timm Hanly from Angie Kent's season of The Bachelorette, judging by the show's newest trailers.
“Never ever have I dated anyone like him,” Brittany says in the teaser, before adding, “He took me by surprise, there’s something about him I want to know more.”
The two even share a kiss, so we'll have to watch this space!
