Speaking to the Sun Herald, Valance revealed she was excited about returning from LA to take up the new role as Tahlia, a gorgeous, yet social-climbing partner of the club captain.
“It is funny, it is witty, it is clever and I just had to come back to do it,” said Valance about the script of the new TV show.
The star also took to Instagram to share an extended note about the upcoming series alongside her fellow co-stars and familiar Aussie faces such as Home And Away's Jackson Gallagher, Neighbours alumni James Mason and Underbelly's Jeremy Lindsay Taylor.
"Beyond honoured and humbled to be part of this brilliant show - @playingforkeepsAU and to be working alongside such a phenomenal group of actors," she began her post.
"A new drama series set to take a look at the world of Aussie Rules Footy from the perspective of the real power players: the women. WE ARE SO EXCITED!! Let the games begin! Playing For Keeps - coming soon to Network Ten! #playingforkeepsAU," she concluded the announcement.
