The 25-year-old who has played Paige Smith for four years chatted to TV Week recently and during the interview, she revealed that her character's departure from the soap may very well tie in with the murder of villain Hamish Roche at the end of the 2017 season.
"I think the fallout from Hamish's death will ripple through the entire Erinsborough community for the first part of the year," she quipped.
In last year's season, Paige was involved in a controversial love triangle between Mark Brennan (played by Scott McGregor) and former priest Jack Callahan (played by Andrew Morely).
As a result of the character's relationship with Jack, she became pregnant with his son, Gabe.
"I don't think Paige saw herself as being maternal until she was pushed into this unexpected situation," the actress said about her character's storyline.
It's not known yet when her final scenes air, but the star has been busy trying out some US pilots later this month. She also finished filming British TV series Ghetto Heaven.
At the end of last year, Valance confirmed she had signed with US management agency Roar – the very same company that represents famous brother Chris, Liam and Luke Hemsworth.
"I feel very lucky and very blessed to have been given this chance,' she told The Herald Sun after the exciting announcement.
Will you miss Paige on your screens? We'll definitely miss the drama.
