Osher Günsberg and Audrey Griffen: From drama to dromedaries!
Not long after Osher Günsberg Instagrammed a fond farewell from snowy Kyoto, Japan, the place he honeymooned with Audrey Griffen, the Bachelor host returned to Sydney to find he and Griffen had received a desert-inspired wedding gift that went beyond a long-stem rose.
The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals gifted the couple with two camels — well, they named two rescue camels after the presenter and his make-up artist bride — in part to acknowledge that Günsberg has written about the virtues of a plant-based diet.
Rescued from a circus in India, camels Sameer and Simran will now be known as Osher and Audrey and will live together at PETA's sanctuary in Maharashta.
"We hope Osher Günsberg and Audrey Griffen's future together will be as joyous as that of their camel namesakes," says Ashley Fruno, PETA Australia's associate director of campaigns, adding that the camels "will never again be forced to perform confusing tricks or endure neglect and mistreatment.”
