In London, a new official royal portrait of Prince Charles painted by highly-acclaimed Australian artist Ralph Heimans was unveiled.
Joined by his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall at Australia House, the 70-year-old moved the conversation to his family's new arrival.
“My son Harry tells me that during their recent tour of Australia he and his wife were offered thoughtful suggestions for the naming of their baby.”
"Just between us, I suspect Kylie and Shane may possibly make the shortlist," he jokingly told the audience.
"But ladies and gentlemen I would not hold your breath for Edna or Les."
“I find it hard to believe I first visited Australia more than 54 years ago. I’ve taken such pride in seeing her go from strength to strength, at home, in the region, and on the world stage.”
The event included iconic Australians like Alexander Downer and Barry Humphries - who the Prince jokingly said, “I am so glad you still exist.”
