The Palace captioned the photo: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a new photograph of Prince George to mark his fifth birthday – thank you everyone for your lovely messages.”
On his fourth birthday, Kate Middleton and Prince William shared a portrait of their son taken by royal photographer Chris Jackson.
Little George is seen yet again beaming as he posed in a striped shirt.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enlisted the help of Matt Porteous to shoot portraits for George’s third birthday.
The Instagram caption said, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to share a new photo which was taken in the garden at Clarence House by Matt Porteous, following the christening of Prince Louis on 9 July."
Porteous spoke to the Today show about the photos, revealing that "it was a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere."
A candid photo was released to mark George’s second birthday. The snap shows the young royal posing with dad William.
And last but certainly not least, the prince's first birthday was marked with a stunning photo of Kate, William and their first-born visiting the Sensational Butterflies exhibition at the Natural History Museum.
One thing’s for sure: Prince George knows how to smile!
