Speaking to Yahoo's Royal Box, Mr Jobson revealed: "I think the principals at that time wouldn’t have done it, that’s the point. Harry, Meghan Kate – there was something to the story, that’s the point.
"You can create an image and they tried to do that at Christmas, with them all walking along but actually, then you had people looking and they looked a little stiff amongst each other.
"Whereas the previous year, you had that photograph of them walking along happy as Larry and they were described as the ‘Fab Four,’ and everything was wonderful."
"I know I said that could have PR’d it better but it’s very hard for the PR professionals – you’ve to the people behaving a certain way to make it look like they’re not [arguing]."
