During an interview with the brothers, she said they showed her their “comedy duo act” and spoke about what it was like to be living together.
Harry joked: “It’s for the first time and the last time I can assure you of that.”
Angela then explained: “William, who Kate devotedly cooked for and even ran his bath, insisted he did all the cooking and had to tidy up after his messy brother.”
At this point, Kate and William had been dating for some years, having been university sweethearts. They would go on to marry in 2011.
During the interview, the Duke of Cambridge said: “[Harry] does do the washing up but then he leaves it in the sink.”
Harry retorted: “Oh, the lies, the lies.”
The biographer also pointed out a tender moment between the two – “Harry admitted: ‘Exams have never been my favourite and I always knew that I was going to find it harder than most people.’
“William immediately showed his caring side, in a way that was reminiscent of how he tried to help his mother when she was in despair, by lavishing praise on his younger brother,” Angela said.
William was known to be one of Princess Diana’s main confidantes during her divorce from their father, Prince Charles, in 1996.
In the wake of their documentary in October, a royal insider said William was “worried” about his brother and hoped they are “all right”.

In the tell-all documentary, which was released in October to coincide with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s royal tour of South Africa, Prince Harry confirmed the rumours that he and brother Prince William have grown apart.
Those close to the couple say they are struggling with ongoing feelings of isolation from the rest of the royal family.
And while Meghan’s admission during the documentary that she has struggled with life as a new mum in the glare of the media has “opened eyes” about the couple’s emotional distress, the relationship between Harry and Meghan and the rest of the royal family is increasingly frosty.
“There hasn’t been this complete 180,” a source told People.
