News of Jeremiah's appointment comes after former host Bobby Berk announced that he would be departing Queer Eye after eight seasons.
"To the Queer Eye community who have become family to me. The love that I have received over the last 6 years has been absolutely surreal. You have tuned in and been dedicated fans and together, we were able to share the healing powers of design," Bobby wrote to Instagram in November 2023.
"The way you have embraced me and accepted me for who I am is something that I will truly carry with me for the rest of my life... To all our wonderful, loving, amazing, and brave heroes, there is so much I want to say and so much gratitude I want to express to you all for letting me into your homes and hearts."
"It's not been an easy decision to be at peace with, but a necessary one. Although my journey with Queer Eye is over, my journey with you is not. You will be seeing more of me very soon," Bobby concluded.
Following his announcement, some fans began to speculate that there had been bad blood between the Fab Five, however, Bobby was quick to put an end to speculation.
"Tan and I had a moment. There was a situation, and that's between Tan and I, and it has nothing to do with the show. It was something personal that had been brewing - and nothing romantic, just to clarify that," Bobby told Vanity Fair in January 2024.
"There were definitely emotions, but each one of us had our reasons why we did what we did. I can't be mad. For a second I was," he continued, adding, "We became like siblings, and siblings are always going to fight."
