AYANA Resort and Spa Bali has introduced a strict 'no calls, no texts and no social media' policy around its River Pool, instructing people to store their devices in nearby lockers, disconnect from social media and re-connect with the ones they love, and fellow guests.
“Our intention is to preserve who we are by valuing human connection and me-time,” spokesman for the Ayana resort told Lonely Planet News.
For travellers not ready for a digital detox, the five-star resort, perched above Jimbaran Bay, allows guests to use smartphones at its 11 other swimming pools, including the famous Ocean Beach Pool.
