Robert Irwin is the spitting image of his dad, Steve Irwin!
The 15-year-old wildlife conservationist took to Instagram to share a split image of two photos— one of the late Crocodile Hunter and one of himself feeding the massive aquatic reptile as it leaps in the air, reaching for food.
"Dad and me feeding Murray... same place, same croc - two photos 15 years apart ❤️🐊," the animal expert captioned the heartwarming picture where the pair look identical.
Since sharing the sweet tribute, dozens of Australian celebrities— some of which knew Steve personally— sent their well wishes.
"Can't begin to imagine how proud he would be Robert.Xx," the Project's Lisa Wilkinson commented. "So special. And so much style mate!" TV veterinarian Dr. Chris Brown added.
“Your dad must be overjoyed to see you literally walk in his footsteps,” Actor Emmy Perry wrote.
Robert was only two-years-old when Steve was tragically killed after a stingray barb struck him through the chest in 2006. However, with the help of his mum Terri Irwin— who owns Australia Zoo in Beerwah, Queensland— and sister Bindi Irwin, the animal lovers have followed in Steve's footsteps, dedicating their lives to conservationist projects.
