Ruby Rose has taken to Instagram to share the loss of her dear friend, who she claims was one of the people who helped her stay sober.
"Natalie... you were one of a kind. To wake to the news that to won't be lighting up my phone with ridiculous texts and I won't be laughing and pointing at you when you drop the trolley and erewhon in front of everyone and try to walk away like it wasn't you.... I'm defeated," the Orange Is The New Black actress wrote.
"I have all our last texts and conversations from a few weeks ago and you were as kind as you were funny. I adored you and I hope you know how much. I only knew you 5 years but you were one of my strengths in staying sober," the 30-year-old revealed.
"I looked up to you in many ways. You took me under your wing...I am hurting that you have been taken too soon. I am hurting that you were so up to date and proud on how far I've come and yet I don't think you knew how much I owe that to sobriety and friends I met like you along the way," she continued.
"There was and will only ever be one Natalie Hall. Many people are mourning today. You were more loved than I think you could fathom my lil sis."
Rose, who is currently dating The Veronicas singer Jess Origliasso, has opened up about her sobriety in the past.
The DJ turned actress made headlines last year for throwing a french fry at a waiter after he mocked her sobriety.
"We waited 60 minutes for fries and over 90 minutes for food that never actually arrived. When I asked about it, the bartender offered us drinks. I explained I'm sober, but thank you," she wrote in a Facebook post.
"He then made some really rude and vulgar comments to the table. When someone makes repeated derogatory jokes about the sobriety I worked so hard to achieve, it's hard not to react emotionally. So I threw a singular fry at him."
