As for exercise, Sarah works out to maintain not just her physical health, but also her mental health.
"For me, exercise serves a purpose: to keep my mind and body strong. So I gotta break a sweat," she says.
The mum-of-two's go-to workouts are running and "the odd boot camp" but like many of us, she knows cardio is hardio.
"Don't get me wrong, I hate every second of an uphill run or a round of burpees," she confesses.
"The real high comes AFTER a work out when those feel like feel-good hormones are pumping. Even a walk can clear out the cobwebs."
When she's not gracing our TV screens, Sarah loves spending time with her sons Paul, five, and Harry, three, who she co-parents with ex-husband, Tom Ward.
However, Paul and Harry aren't too fussed about what their mum does for a living.
"My boys couldn't care less about me being on TV," she laughs.
"They're funny, silly and verrrrry active boys who are more interested in running wild outdoors (and me ragged in the process). I've been to practically every playground in the Greater Sydney area!"
With winter approaching, Sarah, like many mums, knows that taking a sick day and chilling in bed can't always be done when a cold strikes.
"When my eldest boy first started daycare he brought home every lurgie imaginable. The whole house was sick for months!" she recalls.
"But with two little boys and a demanding job I, I did what a lot of mums do: slapped on extra concealer, stuffed spare tissues down my bra and powered on. I'll admit I've cheated a nap it two in the makeup chair before the show as well."
The Studio 10 host has teamed up with Blackmores to help more women build up their immunity this winter and says their Cold, Flu and Immunity range can lend a helping hand.
"Mums are excellent at taking care of other people, especially little ones, but we are terrible at looking after ourselves! Ladies, we need to fix that. Stat. Of course eating well, lots of water and getting enough rest (ha! what's that?!) are all key, but a supplement from Blackmores Cold, Flu and Immunity range can also help."
