The retired Olympic gymnast took to Instagram to share the exciting news with her 2.3 million followers.
“What up @theeastbaby,” Shawn, 28, captioned a video of the new family of three, while Andrew wrote alongside a black-and-white photo, “You are our everything. Welcome to the world baby girl.”
Shawn told her fans they were expecting their first child together in April— a little over a year after she revealed she'd suffered a miscarriage— sharing a photo of the professional football player cradling her growing baby bump with the hilarious caption: “That’s not a bump… @theeastbaby has just REALLY been lovin’ the carbs lately 👀😂🤷🏼♀️🤰It’s a carb belly and you know what, I’m going to cradle it. @andrewdeast has embraced it.”
Days before their little bundle of joy arrived— who already has her own Instagram page with over 216k followers— the former Dancing With The Stars contestant posted a photo of herself looking very pregnant while her gorgeous hubby was smiling from ear to ear. "
Baby is dropping! Hereeeee we go! #38weekspregnant @andrewdeast," she wrote.
Shawn kept her fans in the loop!
While she recently told PEOPLE she was over the moon about becoming a first-time mum, the retired athlete's pregnancy journey was far from easy.
After their 20-week checkup, Shawn told her followers that her baby had underdeveloped and dilated kidneys, as well as a two-rather than three-vessel umbilical cord.
With both complications happen simultaneously, the doctor warned the couple there was a high chance the bub could have down syndrome. Six days after breaking the news and "praying every five minutes of the day", their genetic testing results came back negative.
