Despite the disappointing outcome of her Bachelorette relationship, Monk jumped at the chance to be the Love Island Australia host for it's first season in Australia. “You know what, [The Bachelorette] was such a great experience,” Monk says. “Not obviously in my personal life, but it was great. But this — this is just so different.”
At this point in her life, is content in helping others find love instead of making it her first priority. “This is the first time I have not been looking, and that’s when everyone says [love] happens,” she says. “Because, before now, I was always looking, I loved the excitement of it all.”
Instead of dwelling on lost love, the former Bachelorette has decided to take control of what she wants for her future and that’s motherhood. “I am going to freeze my eggs when I get back [to Sydney] from Spain – it’s all booked in,” Sophie reveals. “I would never say never, but I would like to try to have a partner... So it’s not all on me.”
