Lourdes made headlines this month for wearing a gauzy white mini dress that showed off her unshaven legs when she arrived at the swanky CFDA/VogueFashion Fund event. Her sheer white dress also exposed her right breast under a sheer panel.
Lourdes also made a unexpected catwalk appearance on the Gypsy Sport runway in September 2018 wearing a very risqué outfit that exposed her unshaven legs. She modeled seashell pasties with several seashell-adorned body chains, high-waisted underwear which peeked out above her low-rise tattered jeans that showed off most of her leg hair.
Lourdes’ mum, Madonna, was one of the early celebs who ditched the razor. In 2014 she shared a selfie of her unshaven armpit writing, “Long hair…… Don’t Care!!!!!!”
“I saw how popular girls had to behave to get the boys. I knew I couldn’t fit into that,” Madonna told Harper’s Bazaar in 2011. “So I decided to do the opposite. I refused to wear makeup, to have a hairstyle. I refused to shave. I had hairy armpits.”
And Lourdes follows in her mother’s footsteps when it comes to underarm care! Madonna shared a pic with Lourdes on New Year’s Eve in 2017 where the then-21-year-old showed off her hairy underarms.
“The picture is vivid in my mind actually from that moment,” Roberts said. “I think I just hadn’t really calculated my sleeve length and the waving, and how those two things would go together and reveal personal things about me. So it wasn’t so much a statement as it’s just part of the statement I make as a human on the planet, for myself.”
In August 2017, Michael Jackson’s daughter proudly showed off her long leg hair on Instagram writing, “if you’re not competing with your brother over who can grow longer leg hair wyed [what are you even doing].
She was called out by critics who shamed her for not shaving, but it didn’t bother Paris. “People are really mad. I wish I could post some of these responses,” she said when she addressed the haters on her Instagram Story.
“You can just tell how angry and infuriated these people are… I love hair, and sweat, and BO. I f—— love it, I think it’s great. Some people think that it’s like super disgusting, especially on girls, but every human body does it. It’s natural. Get over it.”
