Irwin’s beloved family – Terri, Bindi and Robert – will all star in the new Animal Planet series, which will document the family’s lives in Australia and their work at the zoo.
Speaking to Us Weekly, 20-year-old Bindi said, "“We’re able to reflect on the amazing times we had together and now moving forward — continuing on [in my dad’s] footsteps."
The young conservationist was only eight years old when her father passed away from a stingray injury on Sept. 4, 2006.
“For me, dad will always be my superhero. He was just the most amazing person, and everyone knew him as the ultimate wildlife warrior, but to me he was the best dad," Bindi said.
Their new show will be another way to honour their father, while keeping his memory alive.
In the years since his death, both Steve Irwin's kids have had their own shows including Bindi, the Jungle Girl, Bindi Wildlife Adventures and her brother's Wild But True.
Crikey! It's The Irwins airs on Sundays at 8pm on E.T.
