Last year, the trio of journalists were caught in an embarrassing scandal when New Idea reported that an Uber driver had recorded a conversation in which Karl vented his frustration to Peter and Sylvia about his former Today co-host Georgie Gardner, who he accused of constantly "sitting on the fence".
As well as claiming that Georgie needs to "step up", an "angry" Karl also accused Dickie of keeping him from big entertainment stories and slammed Nine bosses for being "out of touch".
After the drama erupted, Karl told the Kyle and Jackie O Show, "Channel Nine weren't happy, and upstairs weren't happy, and that's fair enough."
"Whatever comes out of my mouth, I'm responsible for, and if that brings the company into disrepute or whatever, that's on me. I accept full responsibility," the axed Today show host claimed.
Sylvia isn't the only former Channel Nine setting the record straight about drama in the industry. The Project's Lisa Wilkinson finally responded to recent reports of tension between herself and her co-hosts.
The former Today show co-host posted a photo of herself smiling on her recent European holiday.
"Well the holiday is now officially over...it seems in more ways than one," Lisa - who recently travelled through Italy with her husband, Peter Fitzsimons, began
"So there I was, standing in the queue at the supermarket this morning, right next to the magazine rack, when I saw it: 'Furious Lisa Flees Channel 10' right there on the cover of one of the weekly 'women’s' mags. (And let’s ignore for a moment the fact that the pic accompanying this headline was of a particularly tender moment from my 10th anniversary at the Today Show at Channel Nine)," the 59-year-old continued.
Lisa then went on to dispell rumours that she was at odds with her cohosts Carrie Bickmore, Waleed Aly and Peter Helliar.
"But honestly, does ANYONE believe this stuff??? The pic above is one Pete took of me on holidays just a week ago. Do I look like someone “fleeing” anything? Do I look furious?"
"Honestly, the number of absolute lies in this story takes my breath away...So please, don’t believe any of it."
The TV host - who joined The Project in 2017 after leaving the Channel Nine morning show - also confirmed that she would be returning to the Sunday Project episode.
"Tonight, after a holiday booked six months ago, I am back at the job, the network and with the Sunday @theprojecttv team that I love."
