If there’s anything we’ve learned from the singer's Reputation revival it’s…
1) Nothing is a coincidence because every visual clue means something!
2) Taylor’s Swifties do not miss a beat when it comes to analysing her cryptic videos and lyrics.
Twitter was the first to notice that the Ready For It clip references Calvin Harris’ This Is What You Came For album cover.
The high-profile pair dated from March 2015 to June 2016. The song was an integral part of their Hiddleswift-era public feud.
A month after they split, it emerged that Swift had secretly co-written, This Is What You Came For. The revelation didn’t come from Harris, who lashed out at Swift in an angry Twitter rant, suggesting her team had leaked the information in an attempt to discredit his musical talents.
“I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do. Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though. I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym.” Calvin wrote on Twitter at the time.
In a recent interview the Scottish DJ revealed his one regret about the feud. "It was completely the wrong instinct. I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled. It felt like things were piling on top of me and that was when I snapped," he told GQ U.K.
While Harris was quick to share a cryptic Snapchat about Look What You Made Me Do, he is yet to respond to Taylor's latest move. Calvin, the next move is yours. Are you ready for it?
