Teacher's Pet suspect Chris Dawson has been arrested
Chris Dawson has been arrested in Queensland over the murder of wife Lynette Dawson.
“A 70-year-old man has been arrested this morning shortly before 8 o’clock in relation to the murder of Lyn Dawson,” confirmed Detective Chief Inspector Chris Olen.
“He’s been taken to Southport where he will be charged. NSW police will seek an extradition.”
On Jan. 9, 1982, Lynette Dawson, a 33-year-old wife and mother of two little girls, went missing and she has never been seen since.
Chris has steadfastly maintained his innocence, saying the mother of his children, Shanelle, then 4, and Sherryn, 2, simply ran away.
At the time, Chris, a school teacher, was having an affair with his student Joanne Curtis.
