This year, NRL star George Burgess, The Bachelor’s Matty J, children’s entertainer Sam Moran, dual code great Lote Tuqiri, Gold Logie award-winning actor John Wood and AFL legends Robert “Dipper” Dipierdomenico and Brendan Fevola have signed on to learn a sexy routine from scratch before stripping fully nude for the nation!
"It’s a bunch of guys getting out of their comfort zone and doing something which is going to benefit so many other people long term. I think the knock-on effect from that is so positive and that’s what really drew me to the cause," new dad Matty J said of why he agreed to the gig. "For whatever reason, we guys think that we are indestructible. We’ll take more care of our car. I can remember the last time my car has been serviced, but I can’t remember the last time I went to a GP.
"It’s all for men’s health. Prostate and testicular cancer are big killers in men," radio host Brendan Fevola added. "If we can do a little dance and get our kit off to raise awareness I think it’s pretty important especially for people my age.
Men have a tendency to not express their feelings. I went through a lot of troubles in my life where I went down the wrong road and I never opened up to anyone. I think it’s similar for men not going to the doctor because they think they’re unbreakable.
Comedian Shane Jacobson is returning to host this year's show, admitting he's looking forward to keeping his clothes on!
“My role this time will be more of a mentoring role. I’m going to help these guys go through the journey that I went through.”
Shane says the response last year was overwhelming. “I would never have gone on stage and taken my clothes off, which was really confronting to be honest if I didn’t think we were doing it for a good reason.
Kids entertainer @officialsammoran is set to Wiggle and jiggle in #TheAllNewMonty soon on Seven. He tells @stellarmag why he and 7 other famous faces are baring all for men's health 🕺
“Still to this very day, I get stopped by people on the street saying, ‘We so loved what you guys did.’ The ones that really get my attention are the people saying, ‘As a result of you doing that show, I went and got a health check.’
“We saved lives. And it’s not a sentence you get to say in entertainment. Doctors and surgeons get to say it but not people in entertainment.
All the money raised from their ballsy performance will go towards research for prostate and testicular cancer.
The special event airs Tuesday, July 30 at 7:30 pm
