Brittany describes Malibu Crush, which is due out next year, as a romantic comedy with plenty of laughs.
And says she was contacted directly by the director/producer of Malibu Crush about the role, and after recording a self-taped audition and meeting in person, was offered the gig.
"I've always been in the medical industry so that is what I’ve focused on. Acting was just a side passion," she admitted.
Brittany admitted that it was her time in front of the camera on The Bachelor that reignited her acting dreams.
"I just had a ball filming that. I guess I never really spoke about my love and experience in acting as I didn’t want people to confuse my reasons for going on the show as at that point it really was always just a hobby.
"I really did go on to meet someone, have an adventure and fall in love. And we all know how that ended up!" she laughed.
Brittany added: "I never spoke about it [acting history and dreams] with the producers, as it didn't really seem relevant at the time."
Britt shared details of her upcoming movie with her fans on Instagram and is excited for the "new adventure".
"Guysss I’m super excited to share that I’ve been cast in my first feature film, coming out in 2020!! 🎥" she wrote last week.
"It’s a comedy filled with laughs and romance and i’m super pumped because my romantic life is basically a joke worth laughing at. Sooooo I feel I was made for this 😉
"Yes to new adventures with a great cast and crew!" she wrote.
