“Now we are living in our home, with Odin and planning a wedding,” she reflected.
“Love you more than I can describe baby, you make me so happy and I know that I am exactly where I was meant to be all along, you were worth the wait.”
The milestone was also celebrated with the announcement that their family had grown, with the pair sharing a photo of their puppy, Odin.
“Then there were three…,” the caption read, before revealing the name of the baby Australian Shepherd.
It’s been a big year for Locky and Irena already, who announced that they had bought their first home together in Perth back in May, and Locky then proposing in June.
“Mrs Gilbert has a nice ring to it,” Irena captioned a photo of the lovely moment, which took place at Mackenzie Falls in Grampians National Park.
"Irena was standing in front of the waterfall for what she thought was a photo when I got down on my knee and asked her to marry me. It was absolutely perfect. Waterfalls and hiking are so us, so it was only fitting that I proposed at the waterfall,” Locky told WHO.
"Irena was in shock, she thought I was joking as I have done so many times before but then when she saw the ring she knew it was genuine this time," he shared.
As for their wedding, plans are already underway.
"As Irena is from the East Coast and I am from the West, we hope to have two big engagement parties first with all our family and friends then hopefully a more intimate getaway wedding," the adventure travel guide revealed, though he admitted the destination isn't sorted just yet.
"We will definitely be incorporating Irena’s Macedonian and Croatian traditions into the engagement and wedding as I have loved experiencing all the traditions and customs.”
