A clearly stunned Angie – who has thought Carlin was passionate about health and fitness – asked Jarvie if she thought Carlin was using the show as a stepping stone to furthering his quest for fame.
"I guess so . . . I think at the start, yeah," Jarvie said, "As much as he's into his acting, I think there is a connection. . . this is more than maybe Carlin went in for," he added.
Angie immediately confronted Carlin.
"Your brother pretty much did make out that you came on to this with [acting] as your main goal, and it's just been a blessing that you happen to like me," she contended.
'I came on here for serious reasons, like I told you," he said, to which Angie responded that Jarvie doesn't seem to agree with that statement.
"I don't care if you're an actor, that doesn't mean you can't love," she said, "just say that you are one,” she pushed.
However, Carlin insisted that he wasn't "hustling or "shooting for the stars" to become an actor.
"Put yourself in my shoes, I could think, 'two shows under your belt? There's no way in hell you're here for love'", he shot back.
Despite his true intentions being exposed, Angie still ended up giving Carlin a rose, instead choosing to send Jackson Garlick home.
