But despite her developing connection with this year's Bachelor, Nick Cummins, the 27-year-old didn't receive a rose in last night's ceremony. Now, Jamie-Lee Dayz sets the record straight about her time in the Bachie Mansion, while also dropping one major bombshell - she's back with her ex-girlfriend, and she's convinced she's the one!
WHO: You have touched on the fact that you’ve been in relationships with men and women, tell us a bit more about that.
Jamie-Lee: I connect with people for who they are, not their gender. I am really proud of who I am and the community I am a part of.
WHO: Are you dating anyone now?
Jamie-Lee: Yes, my ex-girlfriend! I was at an event a while ago and she showed up. We broke up about six months or nine before the show started because the timing wasn’t right, but we caught up and had a coffee and we hit it off again. Straight away we both acknowledged that the timing was right this time and it’s just so beautiful. I am so happy and it’s one of those relationships where you just get so excited to see the person!
WHO: Do you think she’s the one and would you ever consider marriage?
Jamie-Lee: Yes, I do and it’s so weird to say that! One day we will get married, it’s definitely on the cards but we are just really happy with where we are right now.
WHO: What did she think about you going on the show?
Jamie-Lee: She was really supportive and she wanted me to find love and I wanted the same for her too. We have always supported each other, regardless of whether we are together or not. If you love someone, you always want them to be happy!
WHO: There are rumors that you and Brooke Blurton might have hooked up. Is this true?
Jamie-Lee: I think that is such a backward assumption to be made by so many people. It is such a shame people are thinking that because there are two girls with one similarity, they are automatically going to be together. It’s 2018, and it’s disappointing that these assumptions are still being made.
WHO: Did you enjoy your time in the Mansion?
Jamie-Lee: I had so much fun and I made so many lifelong friends. It felt like it was always one big sleepover. We would watch movies together and do cook-offs. Honestly, I would live there forever if I could!
