“I’ve been writing some tracks I love, so, you never know,” she told The Daily Telegraph.
“Music is a passion of mine and any chance to perform I love to.”
And making an appearance on The Masked Singer was the perfect way for Nikki to get reacquainted with the public, given Aussie fans pretty much disappeared from the limelight following her 2001 hit ‘Strawberry Kisses.’
Speaking about her decision to participate in the Ten singing show, the now-dance studio owner said: “It sounded like a really fun and exciting opportunity to be involved in the first series of this crazy unique show … a chance for Australia to see me sing and perform again, and a chance to make my students at my dance studio proud.”
Monday night’s episode of the show left judge Dave Hughes humiliated after he failed to guess Nikki was behind the Alien costume.
Nikki couldn't believe it either, telling Hughsy: “I thought you’d get me first.”
Last week, people started suspecting it was Nikki underneath the alien mask, with fans pointing out the petite frame and singing style mirror that of the 32-year-old famous singer.
