The controversial conversation comes days after Hilary was slammed for sharing a photo of her adorable bub with tiny studs in her baby's ears.
"She has enough hair for a pony. Oh, and yes we pierced her ears," she captioned the cute Instagram snap on her baby girl, who she shares with fiance Matthew Koma.
People were quick to judge with some expressing shock that she'd caused her baby girl "unnecessary pain".
"I can't fathom why you would you think it's okay to have your daughters ears pierced. Causing her a tremendous amount of pain and discomfort for no medical reason," one person commented. "Just wondering how she gave you consent to pierce her ears? Poor baby! Bye!" someone else wrote, adding they'd decided to "unfollow" the star.
Another user said: "The risks are unreal and that throbbing pain in her ears no matter how happy and looked after your child is just isn’t justified in my eyes. Did she sit there with a smile on her face whilst a gun with a needle was placed on her ear? Did she say politely after, thank you? Or did she sit and cry and scream looking to you for comfort and to make it all better? And tell me how did it make you feel sitting there and watching her have pain inflicted on her unnecessarily?"
After her photo made headlines, many fans flocked to Hilary's defence, revealing they were equally as young when they had their ears pierced, and didn't affect them in the slightest.
"I am 51 yrs old and my sister and I had our ears pierced when we were babies as well and done with a needle," a comment read. "I'm ok, I'm not traumatized and I don't remember because I was a baby. People need to stop judging what other people do, and look at what goes on in their own home," a supportive Instagram follower wrote.
This isn't the first time the Lizzie Maguire star has come under fire on social media for her parenting choices. In 2016, she shared a photo of herself pecking her son Luca on the lips. Some followers took exception to this, arguing it was inappropriate, however she wasn't going to tolerate their criticisms.
"For anyone commenting that a kiss on the lips with my four year old is "inappropriate" go ahead and click unfollow with your warped minds and judgement," she hit back.
