While it’s still early days for the production, we’ve begun to collect a few details here and there about what we can expect from the upcoming film.
Apparently, it will be created and produced by the same team that brought us The Last Dance, the famed Netflix series about the career of NBA legend Michael Jordan.
"The director and the whole concept of how that was shot and filmed is really, really, really good. So, we'll be doing our own version with them," Mel B recently revealed.
While no other details have been released just yet, it is worth noting that 2022 is the 25-year reunion of the glorious Spice Girls film, Spice World, which was released to a rapturous and excited audience back in 1997.
Rumours have also been abounding that the band might play at the 2023 Glastonbury music festival in the legend slot.
But until then, they have plenty to keep them busy! Mel B is actually currently based Down Under, sitting on the judging panel for The Masked Singer this year alongside Abbie Chatfield, Chrissie Swan, and Dave Hughes.
Some are even speculating that one of her former bandmates, Emma Bunton, might be one of the performers under the mask after hearing Mirrorball – one of the costumed singers of the season – perform a rendition of Xanadu.
While it might be a stretch – we’re still hopeful she might appear and surprise her former fellow bandmate.
The fellow Spice Girls – Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, and Melanie Chisholm have also all kept themselves busy across various pursuits – and are all now mothers.
Victoria has also been in the headlines lately, with her eldest son, Brooklyn, getting married to Nicola Peltz in a lavish ceremony.
But even though they’re mums, we’re absolutely certain the Spice Girls can still put on a great show.
