Arriving at the Lavazza marquee before noon, Bec Hewitt was fully equipped for the long day ahead, with her fuchsia clutch stocked with essentials. “I’ve got my phone and a lip gloss,” Hewitt tells WHO. “And a packet of those pineapple lollies in a little zip bag for later in the day when I need a hit, because I don’t drink.”
With tennis star husband Lleyton mingling with mates at the back of the marquee, Hewitt (who considers herself “a Melbourne girl now”) says she probably won’t see much of him for the day: “The boys are here to back the horses and the girls are here to spy on all the fashion so it’s a great day out for all the couples. It’s a win-win.”

As for her outfit, the mother-of-three feels “really special today” but admits to having help styling her look: “I couldn’t have put this together myself!”
Hewitt turned heads in her “so cool” red Christalea jacket and dress with matching headpiece. “The designer is known for a lot of gowns with jewel embellishments,” she says. “It’s never too much—the more bling the better. On a day like today, you can go all out.”
