After their initial meeting, Ed, who was working in fill-in breakfast radio at the time, kept asking Tiffiny into the studios to interview her.
He may have been trying to keep in professional, but by the third time Tiffiny made the first move.
In a chat with news.com.au, Ed revealed: “The third time the publicist at Channel Seven goes to me, ‘It’s getting a bit ridiculous that you keep asking Tiffiny in.’ And Tiff turned to me and said, ‘Yeah, it is ridiculous. When are you just going to ask me out?’ And that’s how we got together.”
From then on, the couple became inseparable and Ed eventually popped the question - though not in the way he originally planned.
Seeing as Ed, who had become a prominent radio and TV personality, and Tiff, who was one of the Biggest Loser trainers, were now a high-profile couple in the media, they were often interrupted when in public.
So when fans kept crashing the fancy dinner where Ed was intending to propose, his nerves got the better of him.
However, when they got home, Ed challenged Tiff to a race to put on her pyjamas, and when the fitness queen walked into the bedroom, there was Ed on one knee in his dressing gown.
"Both of us were in tears," Tiff admitted.
The couple married in 2014 and to celebrate six years of marriage this year, Tiffiny shared a glorious throwback from their younger years.
"Remember the time we tried matching hairstyles to be like Gwyneth and Brad @therealedkavalee? Yeah, that happened," she joked.
"Happy 6th wedding anniversary blondie 😘 Love you #2010."
Since their wedding day, the couple have also welcomed their son Arnold, who was born in September 2017 and seeing Ed as a parent just made Tiff love him even more.
"Seeing Arnold with his dad is one of the best things," she told Mother + Baby. "Our relationship has changed – it's a little less sexier – but it is beautiful seeing Ed being a dad."
Ed and Tiffiny also want to expand their brood with one more bub, but seeing as Tiffiny was extremely unwell during her first pregnancy with Arnold, the couple are in no rush.
"At some point, if we're lucky enough, we'd love to have another baby," Ed told TV WEEK in February.
"So for her and her business, we need to make sure that she's going to be OK physically. But we really hope to because we both want another child."
