Here's Tracey Jewel's open letter in full:
"I've been very open about my struggles with anxiety partly caused by the ongoing barrage of messages and emails I receive. I've lost sleep, sworn to close my accounts, been defensive, run away and outted them.
"Some are strangers and some I have a very good idea who they are.. and they're known to me.
"I don't have limitless energy to fight this every day. I'm just an ordinary woman trying to express myself. I'm not perfect, I've made mistakes and I just want to connect and make the world a little less lonely and share our struggles together. I can't spend my days waiting to block another one.
"One in particular messages me every day, I report and block and they just come back with a new fake account. They know where I live, when I see my daughter and tell me they won't stop until they ruin me. They screen shot and message me the fact they contact everyone I work with with the desire to bring me down and prevent me from working and living my life.
"To this person: through our days of pointless messages, I've thought about you a lot, I picture who you are (because you keep saying you are very close to me) - and not just the person behind the computer who messages me but who you really are.
"You endlessly open new email accounts to replace the ones I've blocked, typing your messages, getting relief by the thought of the hurt they will cause when I read them.
"Through your personal attacks I can see why you dedicate your life to expressing yourself in such a negative toxic way. A desire to abuse.
"And I am overwhelmed with compassion for you.
"One of my purposes for being on social media is to show and share compassion and even trolls need compassion.
"The world is so much bigger than social media. But social media has brought me so much love and warmth. It has brought me new friends, the many followers who have supported me and rushed to my defence even if they don't know me personally. 'We will never change someone by breaking them down, only by building them up.' My account will probably lose some followers over this.. but that's ok... I hope we all find peace x"
