It's hard to believe it's been 15 years since Twilight premiered and altered our brain chemistry forever. The film adaptation of Stephanie Meyer's iconic vampire novel first premiered on November 21, 2008.
The director, Catherine Hardwicke, had two young stars, a blue filter, and a vision to bring the book to life. And she sure did.
Twilight was a cinematic masterpiece. There was the baseball scene set to Supermassive Black Hole by Muse. The stunning special effects to demonstrate Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) glistening in the sun. The facial expressions and erratic movements of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart). An incredibly attractive dad with a moustache, also known as Charlie Swan (Billy Burke). This movie had it all.

While the film's leading man, Pattinson, has been clear about his disdain for the franchise, this hasn't stopped fans from loving and obsessing over Twilight for the past 15 years.
And now, the franchise is set to return with a new animated series. News that would honestly have sent teenage me into a coma.
"Truly a cultural reset. The baseball scene and the soundtrack remain ingrained in my mind," one fan wrote on Twitter of the news.
"I'm gonna have to watch this. I don't even care if it's bad," added another.
Keep reading for everything we know about the series, plus where to watch the original films (if you're into cinematic gold).
I can't imagine a more iconic image than this one.
