What is Mr. & Mrs. Smith 2024 about?
Mr. & Mrs. Smith follows two strangers, John and Jane, who have given up their identities to be thrown together as partners – in espionage and in marriage.
As per the synopsis, matched by a mysterious agency, each episode follows them on a new mission and new milestone in their relationship. When the cracks begin to show through, they must fight to stay together. Because in this marriage, divorce is not an option.
The series will reportedly have a very different tone from the original blockbuster, which centres around two spies who get married without knowing that they share the same line of work – and an assignment to kill each other.
Who is cast in Mr. & Mrs. Smith 2024?
Donald Glover (Swarm, Atlanta) and Maya Erskine (PEN15) star in the new series as John and Jane Smith, respectively.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) was initially cast as Jane Smith, however, she departed the project following “classic creative differences,” according to Glover.
Glover also serves as co-creator and executive producer, alongside Francesca Sloane (Atlanta, Fargo) for Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith makes its debut with all eight episodes on February 2, 2024 and will be available to stream exclusively on Prime Video.
