The new series And Just Like That consisted of 10 equally wonderful and harrowing episodes for its first season, continuing the story of best friends Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) and Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon).
Samantha Jones, however, was noticeably absent, as actress Kim Cattrall did not sign on to the show. An absolute travesty for fans, as her character was written out in a somewhat unfortunate manner.
From the surprise heart attack and death of Mr Big (Chris Noth), to a steamy affair between Miranda and Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez), the first season certainly delivered on show-stopping moments that everyone was talking about.
The conversation wasn't always positive, though, with many fans critiquing how the reboot attempted to "fix" its original flaws with overt "wokeness" that fell short.
But, overall, the die-hard fans were simply thrilled to be back with the gang, especially for season two. And now the showrunners have time to really get it right, with a third season in the works!
HBO Max dropped this first look at the show.

"We are thrilled to spend more time in the Sex and the City universe telling new stories about the lives of these relatable and aspirational characters played by these amazing actors... here comes season three," the series' executive producer Michael Patrick King told Variety.
The series is available to watch on the streaming site BINGEin Australia, so if you haven’t signed up yet, you’re going to want to click herefor a free 7-day trial.
We couldn't help but wonder... what's happening here?
Speaking to TVLine, HBO Max chief content officer Casey Bloys said the show "is very much a story about women in their 50s, and they are dealing with things that people deal with in their 50s."
He then added: "Just as in real life, people come into your life, people leave. Friendships fade, and new friendships start.
"So, I think it is all very indicative of the real stages, the actual stages of life … They’re trying to tell an honest story about being a woman in her 50s in New York."
In the end, Samantha was shown to have fallen out with Carrie over business, before fleeing the country post-haste and settling down in London.
While the storyline felt a little off-brand for Samantha, the series brought her back for a brief cameo in the season two finale. Even if it was just via a phone call...
The absence of Samantha has been one of the biggest talking points around the show’s return.
