With the premiere of The Bachelorette Australia right around the corner, we thought we'd fill you in on anything and everything to do with the star of the show— Angie Kent.
The 29-year-old Sunshine Coast reality TV star— who, according to her LinkedIn profile, previously worked in marketing and production— is best known for her couch commentary alongside best friend, roommate and Gogglebox Australia co-star, Yvie Jones. The pair— who first graced our screens in 2015— quickly became the stars of the show with their hilarious one-liners and quirky personalities.
After eight seasons on the popular series, the duo confirmed they wouldn't be returning to the show in 2019 seeing as Angie had moved out of their home.
Months later, the pals signed on to star in the latest season of I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! where Angie made the top five.

While fans were over the moon to see the dynamic duo back on TV together, Foxtel's TV director Brian Walksh told TV Tonight that he wasn't impressed with their decision.
“From a promotional point of view the issue that upsets Foxtel is the exploitation of the Gogglebox brand to market and sell another program,” he said.
In spite of his comments, Angie defended their transition.
“I gave up four years of my life — eight seasons. We brought home three Logies. If Brian wants to be disappointed with us going into the jungle, that’s his choice. I still very much love Gogglebox and will always support it, but I’m a big girl and I wanted to spread my wings. When I’m A Celeb popped up, I thought why the hell not do something that Gogglebox couldn’t offer me?”
After her stint on I'm a Celeb, Angie said she was keen on becoming the next Bachelorette... and the Network 10 bosses were listening!
“I always said, ‘God no!’ But you know what, I think after having more time on television now and being on the other side of the couch. I reckon I could be an all-right bachelorette,” she told Yahoo.
Angie confirmed she was joining the popular dating series in April, revealing that while she's never been in love, she sees the show as a perfect opportunity to find a "very decent fella".
“I’ve always been the girl who loves to make everyone laugh, but now I reckon it’s time to have someone to laugh with me, rather than at me,” Angie said in a statement.
“I’m at a place now where I have loads of self-love, but I’m also open to all of life’s amazing possibilities. So, if 20 or so fellas want to join me, have a laugh and potentially be my perfect partner in life and love – I say – let’s give it a red-hot go!”
As for the type of man she's after, although Angie says she's not too fussy, he has to have a similar sense of humour!
"They have to be funny," she said during a chat with Kyle and Jackie O on April 1. "Like, you need to be a bit quirky, a bit nuts. In a good way! I want to have a laugh. That's my big thing."
