All that is about to change, however, as the keen poker player and gym junkie (now 21) prepares to make his reality TV debut on SAS Australia.
“I want him to be really proud of me,” Jackson says of their relationship in a promo for the show.
“I’m not just Shane Warne’s son, I’m tougher than that.”
As part of his new gig, the youngster will be put through his paces whilst participating in the gruelling training regime required of those in the real-life army unit.
But this won’t be his first time in front of the camera.
Jackson moonlights as a model and often shares his professional photoshoots on Instagram.
Back in April, he posted a series of moody snaps of himself wearing jeans and a white singlet top.
“Get comfortable being uncomfortable,” he captioned one of the pics.
A chip off the old block, doting dad Shane was clearly impressed with Jackson's recent efforts in the gym.
In two separate comments, Shane wrote, "love this" and "proud" on the post, prompting Jackson to clap back with, “I wanna see you when you were 20!”
While the pair may look similar, it turns out Shane didn't pass on his passion for the pitch.
In a previous interview with The Herald Sun, he explained: "I never pushed Jackson into cricket... He played it for a year, took a hat-trick - took four wickets in five balls - bowling a little bit of leg-spin or with the seam, smashed a few with the bat. Still, the game "didn't really grab him."
Jackson has two sisters, Brooke, 23, and Summer, 19, and has a “very close” relationship with his yogi mum, Simone Callaghan, who recently bared all for Seven’s one-night-only event The All New Monty: Ladies’ Night.
“I was worried for my kids, but they were like, ‘Mum, it’s a good cause’,” she told New Idea.
And although Jackson was proud of his mum for taking part, he wasn’t keen on watching from the audience.
“He was too embarrassed,” Simone said.
“He didn’t want to be sitting in that audience with all those girls!”
A testament to their unbreakable bond, Jackson regularly posts old family photos to social media.
We can't wait to see Jackson tackle the small screen - bring on SAS Australia!
