What’s the most beautiful thing about your wife?
Joanna, she’s just so caring and she’s really positive. That’s one of the first things I noticed about her and that’s what drew me to her. The past three years she’s just been pregnant, breastfeeding, pregnant, breastfeeding. It’s been tough for her. She’s a great mother. I’m very proud of her.
The most beautiful part of marriage?
The saying, “for better or for worse”, and committing yourself to one person. Everyone goes through their tough times in life, and the good times, and the main thing is to stick together throughout it all.
What’s something we don’t know about you?
I’ve got a creative side, which people don’t see because of the way I look. I love that side of me because it uses a different part of my brain and I like changing people’s opinion of me. I draw and I paint – that was my favourite subject in school, it wasn’t PE or anything, it was art and design.
Have you been given advice by anyone in the creative industry?
Russell Crowe has been a big help. He encouraged me to do Home and Away a few years ago, but it just didn’t eventuate. So, I’ve gone off and done things on my own. I did a movie last year, which is premiering at the Gold Coast Film Festival. That lit the fuse for me with acting, it got me the bug.
