What’s your definition of beautiful?
Someone with generosity of spirit. Someone with confidence and an interesting take on the world.
When do you feel most beautiful?
Probably when I’m on stage.
That’s the moment when I can sometimes lose all self-consciousness and just feel like I’m channelling something bigger than myself.
I just feel like a better version of myself on stage.

What do you feel is your biggest career achievement?
Recently, opening night for a musical that came to life.
I wrote the music and lyrics for Muriel’s Wedding – I have to say, that was a peak experience.
Particularly when I was sitting behind Rachel Griffiths – the original Rhonda from the movie. She was squirming from delight.
