With dozens of textures and layering throughout, Scott’s futuristic tracks push the boundaries of trap with trippy instrumentals, auto-tune and catchy hooks. The rapper also enlisted some of the world’s biggest artists to feature on his album including, Drake, Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, John Mayer and Stevie Wonder. While giving them time to shine throughout, he smoothly switches the beat and changes the tempo, creating a new sound, without sounding unusual or rushed. It’s riddled with introspection‑ especially when discussing his relationship with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner in 5% TINT” and “COFFEE BEAN” – and this album is not only technically sound, well thought out and well produced but nothing short of incredible.
