Goldberg was talking to Good Morning Britain when she decided to drop the huge news.
“So we’ve been all over Disney begging and they’ve decided that they are going to go in a different direction with Sister Act,” Goldberg said.
“So it won’t be Sister Act 3 it will be a brand new rendition of Sister Act."
Goldberg revealed she won't be reprising her role as Sister Mary Clarence.
Before you threaten a mass walk out, Goldberg said a cameo is on the cards.
“I guess I’ll walk through a scene and that’s how they’ll say I was part of it.”
Sister Act is more than a cult classic.
The 1992 flick was a critical and box office success, making more than $319 million. It returned with a sequel a year later: Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit.
