From the get-go, The Bachelor's Abbie Chatfield made it abundantly clear she had no interest in making friends during her time in the mansion. Throwing her castmates under the bus and ratting them out whenever she had the chance— e.g. the "dog c**t" drama— she's done everything in her power to make a name for herself as one of this year's most controversial contestants.
Seeing as every scandal this season was centred around the property analyst, it shouldn't come as a surprise to learn that her wholesome co-star Elly Miles believes the 23-year-old actually applied for the show in the hope that air time would boost her notoriety.
"At the time there were comments being made about going on Bachelor In Paradise and Abbie seemed keen. So I questioned whether she was here for the right reasons if she was already thinking about life without Matt on a different TV show," the fan favourite recently dished to a local publication. "She was very vocal about wanting to appear on the program."

If this is true, why is she still on the show? According to eliminated contestant Kristen Czyszek, Matt Agnew has only had pleasant encounters with Abbie meaning he's yet to see her true colours.
"I think it's really hard to understand people's comments when he (Matt) hasn't seen that side and only experienced wonderful moments with her (Abbie)," Kristen told Yahoo after she was booted from the Bachie mansion last week. "Matt knows what he wants and so he's just pursuing what he wants, that's why she's still there."
“Abbie has such a big personality and we all have different ways of coping in [The Bachelor] environment, she copes with a lot of things through laughs and jokes."
Whether jealousy or truth lies at the heart of their claims, we needn't worry about Abbie winning the series seeing as she's been sliding into another reality star's DM's... and he has a girlfriend!
"Abbie has been talking to multiple guys on Instagram including Married at First Sight's Billy Vincent and last year's runner up from Ali Oetjen's season of the Bachelorette, Todd King," an insider dished to New Idea.
While the nature of her chat with Billy remains unknown, the source claimed she isn't too fussed that her former Bachelor co-star Nichole Wood has also been linked to the MAFS star, and was recently caught locking lips with him during an intimate dinner date.
Since assuming the role as this season's villain, unfortunately, Abbie has paid the price— and was even "sl*t shamed" for pashing Matt at the cocktail party.
"There have been other comments I’ve seen on my Instagram and on Facebook saying ‘Is she really that easy?’ [and] slut-shaming," the fan favourite property analyst told Mamamia. "I have a right to share a consensual kiss with a man I'm attracted to, to own my own sexuality and be confident and happy in myself."
Abie, who describes herself as a vocal feminist, said that despite receiving a "positive reaction from a lot of people", some took issue with Abbie owning her sexuality and openly admitting she was sexually attracted to the astrophysicist.
"People assume women can only be one thing; that because I was open with my sexuality and I was able to express that with Matt that I was only that one thing, that I couldn't be intelligent and sexual and strong and funny and have any other personality traits," she said.
After being slammed and gang up on by her Bachelor co-stars— particularly Sogand Mohtat and Monique Morley— Abbie said after the cocktail party incident she felt excluded and isolated, she sought help and guidance from the show's psychologist.
"I didn't eat for three days. I just slept and cried. I really wasn't well," she told TV Week, adding that she was "an absolute mess".
