But when asked where it all went wrong for her and her Bachelorette beau, Angie confessed that their differences became all too clear after filming wrapped.
"We were so smitten with each other on the show but we were so different out of the show," she said.
"I was always myself but he got to see full throttle and I was stressed after the show too. He was very religious, he had these ideas that I should be this certain way when I wasn't and I don't want to be with somebody that wants me to change - I want somebody to love me for me."
The former Bachelorette added that despite his Christian faith, he never pressured her to do the same with him.
"He never wanted me to go to church - we spoke about it and whatnot. Each to their own, if you want to go to church, you do you, I do my moon rituals, everybody's got their thing."
Angie had previously dropped some cryptic reasons as to why she and Carlin called it quits.
In a statement to the Daily Telegraph in July, the reality star confessed: "Chemistry doesn't always equal compatibility. We gave it our all and it didn't work out."
"Our values didn't align. Both Carlin and I will never give personal details. Out of respect for Carlin I will not reveal the personal workings of our relationship."
Angie also dropped some previous hints to Kyle and Jackie O before, explaining: "I’m more spiritual and a little bit more carefree and wild whereas he’s more....," Angie added before Jackie said that Carlin was "a Christian boy."
"He’s a Christian boy and we’re just different," Angie concluded.
In a chat with Who, Angie said that 2020 had been a tough year what with the very public break up and undergoing an operation for her endometriosis, but is grateful for the self-reflection that followed.
"I lost myself there for a bit there due to heartbreak and now I feel good and just want to work and live and love and be healthy," she admitted.
She added: "Everyone’s got to go through a s*** time when they go through a break up, it would be weird if I was like ‘Cool I just gave up a year of my life and was in love and I’m ok with that.’ No way, I had a really s*** heartbreak and it made me stronger. Not ready for love yet but maybe next year."
