While we've been unsure what to believe in recent weeks, it appears as though there's a grain of truth in each of these arguments.
During last night's finale episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the mum-of-three sobbed while detailing why she's decided to exit the show, admitting she's at "breaking point".
“If everyone acted like you did, filming-wise, then we’d absolutely have no show,” Kim said to Kourtney to which she replied, “I have three kids that are my priority more than the show,” Kourtney told Kim during a brutal conversation. “Why do I have to say it 25 times? I’m not going to change my mind.”
“What I’m saying is I’m getting to the point where I’m not happy. Everyone has their breaking point,” she continued. “Life is short. It’s not all about filming this show.”
In a confessional, Kourtney echoed a similar sentiment, revealing she's reached her limit and wants out.
“It’s not okay that I feel like I’m at my breaking point,” she said. “I need a break and I don’t want to film anymore.”
In the end, Kim didn't seem too upset with her decision to leave their series, admitting she hasn't brought much to the show in the last few seasons.
"I think that she’s really torn on what she should do. Does she stay on the show, or does she get off and live a different life that she claims she’s wanted for so long? I hope that Kourtney finds clarity in whatever decision that she chooses to make. I just want her to feel like she’s at peace.”
While Kourtney was satisfied with Kim's response, it's no secret the sisters have been at each other's throats all season. During last week's episode, the Skims founder said she's fully aware she's nasty to her older sister and hopes they can repair their fractured relationship in the near future.
The conversation between the pair began when the Kar-Jenner matriarch asked her daughters to discuss what they'd like to change about in the coming year.
“I want each one of you to pick one person sitting here and tell them what’s the one thing you’d love to focus on strengthening in your relationship," Kris told her family.
Kanye West's wife replied: “I want to fix, you know, my relationship probably with Kourtney, for those mean reasons and those mean comments... I mean, I can be so mean."
Khloe then pointed out that Kourtney is equally to blame, admitting they often butt heads for no apparent reason.
"You guys go back and forth though, It's equal," she said, adding she'd also like to better her relationship with Kourt. "I feel like Kourtney and I sometimes fizzle. So, I think I would love to get us back on course and maybe not be so reactive. For myself."
