Fans of Zoe Foster Blake all know and love her son Sonny, who she shares with husband Hamish, but the author has just opened up about the struggles she went through while she carried her little boy.
During the pregnancy with her firstborn, in 2013-14, Blake experienced extensive pain in her pelvic region, which she soon discovered was an inflammation called Ostetis Pubis. In a blogpost on her website she explained her condition was so bad it resulted in her using, “crutches at week 31 until birth."
Now pregnant with her second child, Foster-Blake is undertaking all the steps to avoid being in that sort of pain. And so far, she appears to be successful!
“My second pregnancy has been a loooot better than my first,” the 36-year-old told her fans on Instagram.
She also revealed that during this pregnancy she doesn’t feel “messed up” by pelvic pain. The Go-To-Skin founder mainly credits “pilates, osteopathy, lots of dull at-home exercises” for her more pleasant experience this time around.
The expectant mum also left some useful advice for readers on her blog. “Know your limits. Don’t push yourself to go to Ikea for a rug for the nursery if your feet are killing and your back is sore,” she wrote.
“Put in the time and effort to care for, maintain and strengthen your body. Strengthen and equally indulge your magical baby-creating machine,” she continued.
Foster-Blake and her Hamish are expecting their second baby and if he or she is anything like Sonny, we can’t wait to see his/her adorable snaps on Instagram
