She was reportedly stopped at a roadblock along Holland Road towards Ulu Pandan at 2:30 AM on May 14.
As per a police report, Tala— who was driving home with a friend in the front passenger seat— struggled to locate the vehicle's handbrake, smelt of alcohol and was unable to answer the police officer's questions when he pulled her over.
After being breath tested and Staff Sergeant Alvin Lee proved she was over the legal limit, she was arrested.
According to police documents, Tala's husband may also be liable for her offences under the Road Traffic Act because he owned the vehicle.
Her lawyer Mr Shashi Nathan claimed in court yesterday that his client was "genuinely remorseful".
This is the Tala's second drunk driving offence and conviction in Singapore. She was first pulled over by the police in 2013 and subsequently lost her license for two years.
